Herndon, VA – Today, the American Latino Veterans Association (ALVA) announced that JPMorgan Chase is a “Patriot” level supporter and partner — the highest of the pre-defined ALVA sponsorship levels. The $40,000 contribution is aimed to enhance ALVA’s efforts to develop its programming focused on workforce development/job placement as well as entrepreneurship for the over 1.5 million Latino veterans in the country. JPMorgan Chase has had a representative on ALVA’s Advisory Council since its launch.
ALVA’s workforce development/job placement efforts have resulted in agreements with two major universities and will continue to bring on more corporate partners like JPMorgan Chase that will invite Latino Veterans to enter their job placement pipeline. ALVA will add JPMorgan Chase’s small business resources to its library of useful content for entrepreneurs.
“We are so honored to be partnering with such a prestigious firm as JPMorgan Chase and we truly appreciate their demonstrated commitment to supporting our important mission,” said ALVA Founder/Chairman & CEO, Danny Vargas. He added, “Their generous support will allow us to further strengthen our organization and our efforts to support Latino Veterans throughout America”.
“Creating a landscape where Latino veterans can access the education and training, they need is key to promote career growth,” said Silvana Montenegro, Global Head of Advancing Hispanics & Latinos at JPMorgan Chase. “This is why we are thrilled to support the work of the American Latino Veterans Association to further opportunities for the community and highlight the significant contributions of Latino veterans to our nation.”
“At JPMorgan Chase, we are proud to support our veterans and military families, including Latino and Hispanic members of the military community,” said Mark Elliott, Global head of Military and Veteran Affairs at JPMorgan Chase. “We commend the mission of ALVA to honor Latino veterans for their hard work and sacrifice for our country and to provide the opportunities needed to ensure their success.”
